On the evening of October 29, 2019, Vinh University coordinated with Ecoba Vietnam Joint Stock Company to organize a scholarship awarding ceremony for difficult students in the academic year 2019 - 2020.

Attending the program, there were representatives of the enterprises, sponsors and press agencies. On the side of Vinh University, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huy Bang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Rector of the University and teachers representing institutes, faculties, affiliated schools, functional departments, Trade Union, Youth Union, t Union of Students and students which were receiving the scholarships.

Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huy Bang, on behalf of University’s leaders, acknowledged and expressed his gratitude to the agencies, enterprises and sponsors for caring, supporting and helping the difficult students of the University. He shared: “Among more than 35,000 students of the whole university, there are still many students with difficult circumstances. Implementing the Prime Minister's policy of "not allowing students to drop out of school because of difficult circumstances", Vinh University has implemented a number of solutions to support the students such as establishing the "Student Support Fund of Vinh University", organized the model “Vinh University Shelters Club", introducing overtime jobs for students, the University has also deducted nearly 3 billion VND from the welfare contribution to the Student Support Fund and also mobilized organizations, enterprises and individuals to contribute and support to take care of the young generation and the educational career of the country.
