(LDTD) Nearly 100 trade union members of Ecoba Vietnam Joint Stock Company participated in the 2nd Voluntary Blood Donation Day "Sharing a drop of red blood". The program is organized by the Trade Union of Ecoba Vietnam Joint Stock Company and National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion.
Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Huyen - Vice Chairman of the Company's Trade Union said that the purpose of the program is to spread the sense of responsibility and love to the community for the young generation, making an important contribution to treat the patients in hospitals. To encourage and show gratitude to trade union members, the Company supports the members to donate blood 500,000 VND/person.
According to the Vice Chairman of the Company's Trade Union, the grassroots trade union under the Cau Giay District Labor Confederation is still very young (founded in July 2020), but the unit has actively implemented many meaningful activities such as: Family photo contest; photo contest for women; The model citizen emulation movement against the epidemic in the time of Covid-19...
"This is the second year that the Company has organized the Voluntary Blood Donation Day and received a very enthusiastic response from a large number of members in the company. On this basis, we have proposed that the Board of Directors of the company will turn this event into an annual activity", said Vice Chairman of the Company's Trade Union.
It is known that, with the characteristic of a construction unit, the area of operation is spread across the country, so the Company pays great attention to organizing collective activities for trade union members, in order to create many opportunities to bond, also thank you to the members. The blood donation program is one of the specific collective activities with flexible and effective implementation.
At this blood donation program, the Company's Trade Union implements the following form: For trade union members working at the Office and projects in Hanoi, blood collection is made at the Company's office. As for projects outside of Hanoi, trade union members self-register to donate blood at the nearest hospital and take a certificate and submit it to the company.
At the end of the program, the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion receives 65 blood units, promptly meeting the blood source for the hospital's medical examination and treatment tasks.
