On May 6, 2021, Ecoba Vietnam Joint Stock Company held the topping-out ceremony of Package A1 - Long Son Petrochemical Refinery Complex Project in Long Son Commune, Ba Ria City, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province, the project is invested by Nghi Son Refinery And Petrochemical LLC.

This is the first fully integrated petrochemical complex in Vietnam with an olefin product capacity of up to 1.6 million tons/year and is designed to produce a wide range of petrochemical products, including products are necessary raw materials for the plastic industry such as polyethylene, polypropylene and other products, with a capacity of more than 2 million tons/year. These products can help replace polyolefins that are currently imported. The formation of a petrochemical complex will create a new investment trend, attracting small and medium-sized enterprises operating in the following fields of petrochemicals such as plastics, chemicals, spare parts and equipment, packaging, and silk, yarn, electronics, textile and dyeing products... The Southern Petrochemical Complex Project is considered an important project, creating a strong spillover effect in many fields, creating a boost for the province's economy in the coming period.

The topping-out ceremony is a testament to the progress commitments with the Employer. Right after the topping-out ceremony, the Employer and Ecoba Vietnam will continue to accelerate other construction items to soon complete the project.
