The Lumi Hanoi Project has officially completed its basement cap/slab phase, achieving a feat by finishing 9 days ahead of schedule while maintaining occupational safety standards. This is a crucial milestone that reaffirms the competence and relentless efforts of the Ecoba engineering team.
Sharing his feelings on the project’s success exceeding expectations, Mr. Le Dinh Thong – Project Manager of Lumi Hanoi – stated: “We are extremely delighted and proud to have overcome all difficulties and challenges to complete the project ahead of schedule while ensuring safety and quality during construction. Consequently, the project has received positive feedback from the investor. This success is the result of the unwavering efforts of the entire team and staff, especially given the context of adverse weather conditions and the impact of Typhoon Yagi. Furthermore, we want to thank the Ecoba Board of Directors for always standing by and providing timely motivation to the project team.”

The most remarkable part of this achievement is that the team managed to reduce the schedule by 9 days compared to the initial plan. So, what is the secret behind this success?
Mr. Thong pointed out three main factors that contributed significantly to the project’s success:
- Flexible planning and adjustment: The project team proactively developed detailed plans, regularly assessing and adjusting them to suit the actual situation while staying true to the initial objectives.
- Rapid adaptation to changes: Thanks to a high capacity for adaptation, the team quickly deployed effective solutions to cope with unexpected difficulties, especially during the post-typhoon recovery process.
- Timely resource provision: Strong support in terms of human resources, materials, and finances from Ecoba ensured that the construction process and the response to challenges ran smoothly and met the schedule.
Overcoming floods, Upholding safety
Typhoon Yagi posed numerous challenges to the project, ranging from flooding to supply chain disruption for materials. However, the Ecoba engineering team quickly implemented effective response solutions:
- Swift Recovery: The team mobilized maximum resources, initially increasing personnel from 400 to 700, to pump water, repair damaged items, and restore the construction site.
- Ensuring Occupational Safety: Safety was always prioritized. The team halted construction for 20 days to carry out remediation and thoroughly inspect electrical systems and equipment before resuming work after Typhoon Yagi.
- Boosting Team Morale: Timely support and motivational policies from the leadership and the general company helped the team maintain stable working spirits.
Based on his practical experience, Mr. Thong shared valuable advice for the younger generation of engineers:
- Clear orientation: Identify career goals and continuously strive to learn and enhance knowledge.
- Proactive risk anticipation: Always be prepared to research and formulate response plans for unexpected situations.
- Solidarity: Team spirit and solidarity are critical factors for overcoming all difficulties. When facing greater challenges, people need to unite, find solutions together, and work toward a common goal to surely succeed.

The success of the Lumi Hanoi project is a clear testament to the relentless efforts of the Ecoba engineering team. It serves as a great motivation for the entire company to continue striving and excellently completing all assigned projects.
