In May 2019, Ecoba Vietnam launched the Occupational Hygiene and Safety Month with the topic for Safety of External Scaffolding - Falling Objects and Control of Equipment to standardize and raise awareness of projects on Occupational Safety - Hygiene.

Within a month of implementation, training and process improvement activities were continuously implemented in the projects. In addition to the process compliance assessment, the program also emphasized creativity in operating Occupational Safety and Hygiene (OSH).

At the end of the program, the following projects have achieved outstanding results:

The launch of the Action Month is an annual activity of Ecoba Vietnam in order to raise awareness and compliance with laws on occupational safety and hygiene, effectively implement the Law on occupational safety and hygiene and other guiding documents. Thereby promote the implementation of training in occupational safety and hygiene at the sub-projects; improve the working conditions, health care for the employees; proactively prevent and reduce the labor environment pollution, limit the labor accidents and occupational diseases.

This is an activity that needs to maintain regular activities on occupational safety and hygiene in accordance with the law and focus on some contents. Accordingly, formulate a specific action program on occupational safety and hygiene and organize the implementation thereof in production and business establishments. Review and supplement the rules, procedures, technical measures of occupational safety and fire and explosion prevention in the departments and workshops; self-inspect, review and assess the risks of occupational safety and hygiene for each machine, equipment, supplies and substances with strict requirements on occupational safety and hygiene. Review, develop a plan and organize adequate training on knowledge and skills to work safely for the target groups to be trained and workers.

Besides organizing the practical activities, demonstrations and handling technical incidents on occupational safety and hygiene; practice first aids at the labor accidents. Launch the emulation movements, sign the emulation covenants to ensure occupational safety and hygiene in workshops, teams and groups; organize the contests and initiatives to improve the working conditions, reduce the labor accidents and occupational diseases; commend and reward the collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in occupational safety and hygiene.
